Areeb Pro Img Tool: Free Image Compressor and WebP Converter
Resize, compress and convert images to WebP in your browser, name them for SEO, and upload lighter covers to Blogger. Free, private, no sign-up.
A single photo from your phone can weigh more than the rest of your post put together. Areeb Pro Img Tool resizes it, compresses it, converts it to WebP and gives it a clean file name in a few seconds, right in your browser. It's free, there's nothing to install, and your images never leave your computer.
Why compress your images
Images are usually the heaviest thing on a blog page, and the cover is often the largest thing on the first screen. That makes it the image Google watches when it measures Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), one of the Core Web Vitals.
- Faster pages. A 2 MB cover can take several seconds on a phone with a weak signal. The same cover at 80 KB shows almost at once.
- Better Core Web Vitals. A lighter main image is the quickest way to bring LCP under 2.5 seconds.
- Less data for your readers. Many of them pay for every megabyte.
- Sharp enough. At normal viewing size, a well-compressed WebP looks the same as the original.
What the tool does
| Feature | What you get |
|---|---|
| Resize | Post cover at exactly 1200 × 675 (16:9, cropped from the center), or a maximum width of 1600, 1200 or 800 pixels. |
| Convert to WebP | Much lighter than JPG and PNG at the same quality, and supported by every current browser. |
| Quality slider | From 50 to 95. The images update as you drag, so you can see the size change. |
| Many images at once | Drop a whole set of screenshots and download them together. |
| Before and after | The original size, the new size and how much you saved, for every image and in total. |
| 100 KB warning | Images over 100 KB are marked, so you know which ones to shrink more. |
| SEO file names | Rename each image before you download it. Spaces become dashes, capitals become small letters, in English or Arabic. |
| Private | Everything runs in your browser. No upload, no account, no limits. |
A real run with three covers from this blog: 935 KB down to 112 KB, a saving of 88%, at the default quality of 80. The covers look the same on the page.

Pick the right size
| Option | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Post cover: 1200 × 675 | The first image of a post. It shows on cards, in related posts and in share previews. Images of another shape are cropped from the center, so keep the main subject in the middle. |
| Up to 1600 wide | Big images inside a post, such as full-width photos. Sharp on large and high-density screens. |
| Up to 1200 wide | Most screenshots and in-post images. A good default. |
| Small: up to 800 wide | Images that show small, like a side-by-side pair or a phone screenshot. |
| Keep the original size | When the size is already right and you only want a lighter file. |
Designing a cover? Keep the title inside the safe zone, because the home page cards cover the corners and a strip at the bottom. The Post Images guide has the full map with pixel sizes.
Pick the right quality
| Quality | Best for |
|---|---|
| 60–70 | Photos where the file must be very small. Fine details start to soften. |
| 75–82 | Almost everything: covers, photos and most screenshots. The tool starts at 80. |
| 85–95 | Screenshots with small text or thin lines, when 80 looks soft. The file gets noticeably bigger. |
Not sure? Leave it at 80, then zoom into the downloaded image. Only raise the quality if small text looks blurry.
Name your images for SEO
Blogger keeps the file name in the image address, and Google reads it as a small hint about what the image shows. blogger-author-box.webp says a lot more than IMG_2041.webp.
- Describe the image in two to five words, joined by dashes.
- English or Arabic both work. Typing
ستايل القالب العامgivesستايل-القالب-العام. Diacritics and tatweel are removed, and hamza letters stay as they are. - Vague names get a hint. Names like
img-2041,screenshot-…orwhatsapp-image-…show a reminder to describe the image.
The file name helps a little. The alt text helps much more. Always write alt text when you add the image to your post.
Private by design
Most online compressors upload your images to their server, process them there, and send them back. Areeb Pro Img Tool doesn't. It uses your browser's own image engine to resize and encode the files on your device.
- Nothing is uploaded. Your images stay on your computer or phone.
- No account and no limits. Use it as often as you like, with as many images as you like.
- Fast on slow connections. Once the page has loaded, the work doesn't depend on your internet speed.
Safari on iPhone, iPad and Mac can't create WebP files this way. The tool notices and gives you well-compressed JPG files instead, with a short message. For WebP, use Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
After you download
- Upload to BloggerIn the post editor, use the image button to upload the new files.
- Write fast image codePaste each image address into the Image Code Generator. It adds the right sizes for every screen, space so the page doesn't jump, and lazy loading.
- Hide the cover if you likeIf the cover should show on the home page but not inside the post, tick Cover only in the generator.
- Check your speedRun the post through PageSpeed Insights and look at LCP on mobile.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. There's no account, no daily limit and no watermark.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool runs entirely in your browser. Your images are read, resized and saved on your own device.
Why is my PNG so much smaller as WebP?
PNG is a lossless format made for simple graphics. For photos and covers with gradients it's very heavy. WebP keeps them looking the same at a fraction of the size.
Can I keep a transparent background?
Yes, in Chrome, Edge and Firefox. WebP supports transparency. In Safari the tool makes JPG files, which fill transparent areas with white.
My image got bigger. Why?
That can happen with a file that was already well compressed, or at a very high quality. Lower the quality a little, or keep the original.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Tap the box to pick images from your gallery, then download them to your phone and upload them in the Blogger app or website.
